REVIEW: Red

Last year we had a movie packed with star power and seemingly fun, it was from DC and it was called Red. What kind of star power you ask? In one movie we had Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, and Morgan Freeman. The movie didn’t fall short when it came to big names, but the fun part of it didn’t quite live up to its end of the deal. What we have here is some retired men and women who worked for the government, somewhere along the way some new bloods decide that they need to be taken out in order to cover up something that happened many years ago. The movie is basically the new kid that replaced Bruce Willis attempting to kill him and his friends. The whole thing isn’t bad, but it’s far from great. It was a pretty decent watch but nowhere near as fun as I had hoped it would be. I’m not even sure if I’d call this a renter; it’s more the movie you wanna keep your eye out for if it comes on a movie channel on TV one day.
