SHOWS I SEEN: Lipstick Homicide/Whiff– June 27th 2012 – The Depot – York, PA

I use great to describe some bands when they play, I’m not sure what order I post these when I write them so if this is back to back with any other Whiff or Lipstick Homicide show reviews you might think I’m glazing over the band and saying ‘yeah yeah great’ but I don’t mean it in that way at all. Some bands just bringing at that high level every time they play, the Whiff and Lipstick Homicide are two of those bands.

Whiff – Always a great time seeing Whiff, these guys really have it together. They’ve sounded fantastic each time I’ve seen them and this might have been the best one yet. They need to record some tracks and get them out there.

Lipstick Homicide – Tonight marks my third time seeing Lipstick Homicide in five days, after that many times seeing a band you might think you’d bet bored with it, but not when Lipstick Homicide is the band in question. I think the best way to describe this band is by stealing a line from a member of Rational Anthem, ‘When they plug in their instruments it’s magical’. There weren’t a lot of people at this show, but that just means they fucked up and missed out.
