Superchunk is here again with a single for the summertime, perfectly titled ‘This Summer’. ‘This Summer’ is a great song that could stand up with anything that was on their most recent album, it shows the band hasn’t slowed down at all in terms of pumping out great songs. The second song on here is another summer song, a Bananarama cover, ‘Cruel Summer’. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the original version of ‘Cruel Summer’ but this version is good, you can tell it’s a cover for sure because it doesn’t really sound like a Superchunk song, but they take it and run with it.
