Debris is a four issue comic that was put out by Image. It’s got a great adventure/sci-fi story that had me wanting to read the next issue as soon as I’d finished the previous one. The story is set in the future, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of human’s left on this planet and the ones that are being terrorized by these mechanical monsters that look like something that came out of Jim Henson’s nightmares, reading some of this made me feel like I was playing Lost Planet again, though with more mechanical based monsters…and less snow. There is one woman that is pretty great at defeating these things, Maya; she decides to set out to find a source of water, something that is becoming non-existent. On her travels she meets up with an old man who use to live in the village and together they set out to find a place that has water, a place that may not exist. This is a pretty quick read but it’s also pretty excellent. I enjoyed the hell out of it and anyone that likes sci-fi will most likely too. I very highly recommend this series. I also think this is something that might make a pretty cool movie or miniseries if done right.

Another high quality series Image is giving us is Witchblade. It’s the best comic book out there right now, along with Venom (even if I’ve been enjoying Venom a lot less, since Remender left the title).
