REVIEW: Hamiltons: Don’t Mess Up

Like The Ergs! and wonder how many more bands Mikey can be in? Like Teenage Bottlerocket’s 1-2-3-4 intros? If you answered yes keep reading, if you answered no, well shut up and keep reading anyway. If you wish the Ramones were influenced by Don Rickles and wrote awesome pop-punk about it then you can now stop reading, go look up this 7″ or head over to your local record shop and buy it. I like this record more and more each time I listen to it. Personally I think “I’m A Nice Guy” is the standout on this thing but there isn’t a bad song among the six that are on here. Most of the songs are fast and catchy kind of like The Ramones were on speed, we’ve some slower almost beach rock jams on here too. What what appears to be a drawling of Don Rickles on the cover, if I had known nothing about this to start with I’d have bought it just based on that. The only complaint I can think about this is that it’s just a six song EP instead of a full album. Hello Dummies, this gem is presented to you by Hello Records.

1. Don’t Be Dummies
2. Tearin’ Tickets In Kuwait
3. Class Operation
4. Hey Fatso
5. Hello Ice Cream
6. I’m A Nice Guy
